How to find influencers in the UAE
Find UAE influencers by searching a marketplace or directory by city, niche and platform, then vet each creator on four things before you book: where their audience actually lives, engagement compared with accounts of the same size, a valid UAE advertiser permit, and a clear price with usage rights.

Where can you find UAE influencers?
- Search the platforms yourself: hashtags, location tags and the accounts your customers already follow. Free, but slow, and you only see what creators choose to show.
- A marketplace or directory: filter creators by city, niche, platform, followers and price, and compare them side by side. Browse creators by city and niche.
- An agency: they shortlist and manage creators for you, for a fee. Agency or marketplace?
How do you check where an influencer's audience is?
This is the check brands skip most. A creator who lives in Dubai can have most of their followers in another country, and a post tagged at the Burj Khalifa says nothing about who sees it. Ask for the audience-country breakdown from their Instagram insights, or use a profile whose stats are read straight from Instagram's API rather than a screenshot.
How do you spot fake followers?
- Engagement far below similar accounts. Work it out with the engagement rate calculator and compare it with creators of the same size, not with smaller ones.
- Sudden follower jumps with no viral post to explain them.
- Generic comments (emoji only, "nice pic") from accounts with no posts of their own.
How we check audience quality explains the flags we show on every profile.
What should you check before you book?
- Permit: paid promotion in the UAE needs an advertiser permit from the National Media Authority. Ask for the number.
- Past work: look at their last few sponsored posts. Do they feel natural, and did their audience respond?
- Price and rights: agree deliverables, revision rounds and usage rights up front. Sanity-check the price with the rate calculator.
- Payment terms: pay in a way that protects both sides. How payments are protected.
How do you reach out?
Keep the first message short: who you are, the product, the deliverable, your timeline and your budget or a request for their rates. Creators get many vague DMs; a clear brief with a budget gets answered first.
Questions
What's the fastest way to find influencers in Dubai?
Search a marketplace or directory by city, niche and platform, then shortlist five to ten creators and check each one's audience, engagement and permit before you contact them.
How do I know an influencer's audience is really in the UAE?
Ask for the audience-country breakdown from their Instagram insights, or use a profile whose stats are read from Instagram's API. A creator who lives in Dubai can still have most followers abroad, and a location tag says nothing about the audience.
Do I need to check the influencer's permit?
Yes. Paid promotion in the UAE needs an advertiser permit from the National Media Authority. Ask for the permit number, which creators must show on their account, and keep it with the contract.
How many influencers should I contact for one campaign?
Shortlist about twice as many as you need. Some will be booked, too expensive or a poor fit once you see their audience data.
